yes I am picky with what I like, I like variety dreams. not a dream with one forced local, or just one avatar choice in general. this is especially true in feral dreams where all the avs are freaking wolves or horses or dragons or something.

but all those other animals are boring! wolves/dragons/horses r da kewlest u asshole!
attn: no they're not. it's a problem when a dream has variety avatars but all the people in the dream are using one freaking avatar. hell it's a problem when there's enough wolf players in a dream to make a bison herd seem pathetic. i'm so sick of people only choosing the most cliche, popular ferals/whatever just because they like it or because it's the ~*~top predator~*~. there are so many damn wolf dreams that i could make a pixel mansion out of them and all the wolf roleplayers in them. ooh and maybe a pixel car.
and don't tell me your character is unique because it's wolf but also part dolphin/shark/octopus/some other obscure animal. but if you truely like the character/animal then more power to you. i'm just sick of dream after dream of 90 wolf players and little to nothing else. wolves are not as common as ants are, ok. and it's not hard to take a minute or two to learn about another species just enough to roleplay it. any animal can be made entertaining if people would just give them a damned try. "but they're SO boring! wolves/dragons/horses/cats are soo much more fun" is a load of bullshit excuse.

angled. isometric. this means things are from a 3/4th angle and should not just be flat with their legs all on the same flat plane. and not overly huge, please. we've got enough giantass wolf avatars. maybe one day i'll make a cheap guide but there's already some good ones on deviantart or whatever. go look there, kk? i don't like/am not good at explaining.

because i don't feel like it? they're free so don't expect me to cater to everyone's needs. and i don't make things if i'm screamed at over and over. however if someone does ask if i could make a so-and-so avatar/port for free I'LL CONSIDER IT. and by free i mean for everyone to download.

idk why people even care if i'm on the damn game anymore since furc is basically dead. i get on to idle and advertise mostly. if i'm active and walking around then maybe i'm bored? though honestly unless you're whispering/messaging to buy things i probably won't respond. i'm grateful for all the 'your port/patches/whatever are awesome!' whispers/posts but i usually don't have time to respond so don't throw a hissy fit if i don't say anything.

what advice can you give to those who want to make dreams/patches/etc?
if it's feral, i have one main point of advice. STOP MAKING THE SAME FREAKING DREAMS!!!!one!1
"feral" roleplay, aka just-wolves-nothing-else dreams are done to death and it doesn't help that more and more people keep making them despite there always being an abundance. not to mention most peoples' first patch is pretty much ALWAYS a feral wolf walkabout. it also doesn't help if there's no variety. there's enough default species for several creatures, people, not 20 more wolves with hair or whatever the hell else.
ranting aside, i would LOVE to see more unique place dreams. a desert, the arctic, the ocean, a rainforest, badlands, anything else that hasn't been done so many times over. a generic forest is okay as long as it's not the center point of the dream and all it has to offer.
also, please.. for the love of all things holy, please learn how to place items. just one tree and grass item spammed everywhere makes baby jesus cry. variety, variety, variety. there are so many nice patches out there, some mixing really well together, there's no excuse.
.. i'm only really good with feral dreams, sorry. but i've seen some incredibly nice non-feral dreams before.
